Presentation Prompt: Research and benchmark the honey industry with a specific focus on the consumer profile of Japanese tourists in Hawaii, or Japanese consumers in their home country with an interest in Hawaiian based products.


Tamarindo Foundation

Company: The Tamarindo Foundation provides health, safety, and prosperity in El Salvador by engaging community members in faith based, educational leadership, and economic opportunities so Salvadorans can thrive in their home country. Since the end of the civil war in 1992, the Tamarindo Foundation has been a proven alternative to forced migration, gangs, and violence in El Salvador.

Presentation Prompt: Design, develop and deliver (virtually) 3 workshops focused on accounting/finance for entrepreneurs in the Tamarindo community of Guarjila, El Salvador. Proposed topics include accounting basics, profit and cash flow management, and financial projections.

Company: Naturway is a tourism provider in Lisbon, Portugal. It offers innovative experiences including Jeep tours, speed boat tours, and a number of innovative different team building activities. Gastronomy and tavern tours are also offered.

Presentation Prompt: Build upon the work previously completed by last year's SIBC team. Create a B2B market development strategy for Naturway which will allow them to grow their sales with Destination Management Companies located in North, Central, and South America. Assess key markets within these regions and generate customer profiles. Create a viable digital marketing strategy Naturway can execute, and research leads in these regions.


Xecue Winery

Company: Xecue Wines is a company created by Jose Luis and Alberta with desire to share their knowledge and passion for wine. Xecue (Checué) is a Kiliwa word that means " love" and represents the paths union for the love of wine.

Presentation Prompt: Create a situational analysis of Xecue in the Valle de Guadalupe, identify key trends and best industry practices, as well as propose a destination marketing plan.


Jars of delight

Company: Jars Of Delight is committed to taking the sustainable path in a largely environmentally-unfriendly industry. They consistently implement new methods of reducing waste, attend workshops highlighting eco-friendly practices, and form partnerships with like-minded businesses to decrease their carbon footprint. They use sustainable, organic, pesticide-free and antibiotic-free ingredients and products from farms in upstate New York, Long Island, New Jersey, and Urban Farms in New York City.

Presentation Prompt: Creating a social media marketing strategy -- help develop compelling value propositions, creative collateral, competitive differentiation, SWOT Analysis and budgeting. Work with a minority woman owned business to conduct a social media audit and create a social media strategy, including a content bank, a schedule, and a budget for 2022.

Presentation Prompt: Collaborate with the HP Insights Team to devise creative ways to increase the sales volume of HP Instant Ink subscriptions on college campuses across the United States.

Presentation Prompt: Focus on marketing and branding of Tin Marin to continue growing in the domestic market. How do they best incorporate their mission and brand without looking like a charity or organization, but more like a business in today’s day and age; encompassing sustainability, their mission of working with artisans, and being on trend.

Presentation Prompt: Perform a current assessment of the translation and localization industry, and discuss the future of the industry including strategies for business growth and sustainability, along with the role of humans versus Al.


IPE

Project: The annual fall forum to address the ways that industries must take action to combat climate change. Teams from USD, Notre Dame, and Benedictine College will come together to provide their insights.

Presentation Prompt: Choose an industry that is a major contributor to climate change. Which goals and targets should your industry focus upon to make progress by 2030? FOCUS: How the real estate industry can combat climate change. Highlight some specific examples of practices adopted by sustainability leaders in your respective industries. What industry standards, cross-sectoral partnerships or governmental conventions might also need to be in place to support climate action in this industry?


buYside

Project: The annual spring forum to define key drivers of inflation, consider the impact of inflation on monetary policy, and identify possible stock investments. Teams from USD, Notre Dame, and Benedictine College will come together to provide their insights before a panel of industry experts.

Presentation Prompt: With inflation the main focus for investors in 2022, will it persist or be transitory? How will it impact monetary policy and ultimately equity prices? Depending on your view, provide a couple stocks you would want to own for the next year and why?
