Identifying the significant and long-lasting impact that COVID-19 will have on businesses in these industries; analyzing the current state of these sectors and making projections for which companies will thrive and which ones will suffer
Naturway
Company: Tourism provider in Lisbon, Portugal. Offers innovative experiences including jeep tours, speed boat tours and a number of innovative different team building activities. Gastronomy and tavern tours are also offered.
Presentation Prompt: Conduct international market research for Naturway. Social media strategy development. Research/identify leads of destination mgmt companies.
Secco Wine club
Company: Clean wine club similar to Dry Farm, Winc and Cameron Diaz’s Avaline. Secco wine club currently has found a niche and caters to KETO enthusiasts who understand the value of no sugar added instantly. This will be the second SIBC project with Luca Forte, after a previous project with Ziobaffa wine.
Presentation Prompt: Design social/digital strategy for SECCO wine for three segments: keto, mediterranean, cross fit.

Presentation Prompt: Recent Reddit user groups to “short squeeze” the short-sellers of GameStop has highlighted how the stock market works and how it doesn’t. Choose a position and argue your position. Demonstrate where/how the market works and doesn’t. Include the role of Robinhood and their policies, Reddit users, college students, hedge fund managers and the New York Stock Exchange. Include policy recommendations for improvements, where appropriate.
Procat
Company: Procat offers a wide array of technology driven, customer service solutions including customer experience platforms (speech and text analytics), business process outsourcing, Corporate performance management platforms, speech technology and data analytics for customer interactions.
Presentation Prompt: Assessment of the call center/ customer service industry, with regards to the impact of COVID-19 and the growth of virtual contact centers/digitalization in impacted industries: health care, insurance, and retail
Tequila Don Javier
Company: Family business from Tequila, Jalisco. Mexico. Produces and sells premium tequila under the JG brand.Also, exports blackberries, cranberries and avocado based products including guacamole, and avocado based salsas. Some sales already in the USA, looking to develop an integrated market entry strategy for premium tequila in the USA market.
Presentation Prompt: Develop a distributor analysis and selection in California as part of U.S. entry strategy. Develop a digital/social media marketing strategy.
Adobe
Company: In efforts to uplevel Adobe’s Executive onboarding practices, SIBC will conduct benchmarking research and an industry best practices analysis utilizing HR strategy methodologies to propose a tailored Executive Onboarding program that will support successful integration and execution of Adobe’s strategy.
Presentation Prompt: Develop a better onboarding practices, and offer various new hiring solutions.
Cleantech
Company: Member-based non-profit organization which positions San Diego region as a global leader in the cleantech economy. Supports industry by fostering collaborations across private-public-academic entities, leading cleantech advocacy and promoting equitable investment in region.
Presentation Prompt: Conduct benchmark research on micro financing models of clean energy incubators.
Cretian Crown
Company: Harvested on the island of Crete, Greece using the finest olives to make the highest quality extra virgen olive oil. Cretian Crown is a family business. Production began over 30 years ago when John Kalaitzakis, acquired the beautiful grove on the island of Crete and over time the family mastered the art of olive oil production and passed the tradition down the family line.
